Same problem with 6 half-meg files.

When I started using fc4 with kernel 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4, kmail was fine. Upgraded to kernel 2.6.13-1.1532_FC4, then the problem started with the large file attachment. About 2.5 Mb. Tried upgrading kdebase (3.4.2-0), kdepim (kmail 1.8.2), finally when kernel 2.6.14-1.1637_FC4 came along, I upgraded. No luck. Tried Evolution, Thunderbird, and mozilla Mail. None could handle the large file. Then I thought, hmmm, I wonder if it was the first kernel upgrade. Booted to the original kernel and bingo. Now, I'm just a newbie. I don't know if it's the kernel or the way mail programs work with the kernel or what. Just a bit of evidence to help you search for a solution. Thank you for kde and kmail.

With kmail 1.10.0 (kde 4.1.60 svn trunk r853959) and linux vanilla kernel 2.6.26, I've sent a zip file of 3MiB, then saved in the received account and checked without problems.

Can't reproduce on 1.10.1 either.
