Does this still happen?
'm using KDE 3.5.5. Same bug... But it's crashing not only disappering... But it's only a fresh start of PC... After first crash, it does not happen again, until reboot... Some time I loose Mail Meta Data... Perhaps Mails, too? I don't know...
But, if the "duplicates" (bugs) are really duplicates? I don't think so... I've crashing of whole kontakt...
Please take a look at http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138269 Thanks a lot
>When I create a new main window in Kontact... How do you do that
This is still reproducable in svn trunk r865463. Of course, it's not possible to start a new kmail window from kontact, so I assume Bram means kmail. Steps to reproduce: 1) Start kmail, enable systray icon. 2) go to File->new->new window 3) Now there are two windows of kmail and two system tray icons.
Valid in KMail2 but I'm not sure this should be considered a bug.
Fixed in 4.10
