what's the status on this? We now have 2007, KDE is at 3.5.7, and there is no akregator-summary in Kontact... it would be very useful to have some statistics about recent news in the subscribed feeds, maybe one short leader for every updated feed, as space allows (and I have plenty of space left on my Kontact summary view;).
Another idea would be to mimic KMail's behaviour, for improved consistency, and allow configuration of feeds to be included in the summary view.

Having to configure the feeds for the summary view seperately from akregator is awkward at best...

One should be able to select the Feeds shown in the summary view from the ones configured in akregator. The current situation effektively means that in one program (kontact) one has two solutions (knwesticker, akregator) to the same problem (feed reading) which is just extremely inconsistent.

I'd also vote for this feature - as for which feed should be included in Kontact's today/summary view, tagging could be used (tag a feed as Favorite) or just use the 10 last updated, most updated, most often viewed by user etc.

I have a lot of feeds in akregator but beware, I really don't want to see the headers in the overview of kontact, just two or three special newsticker and not all new messages but only a  configurable number of them. Allowing an overview of the akregator feeds to be shown in the summary view is a very good idea, as long as it is configurable which feeds shall be included and how many news headers of those feeds shall be shown.
