The transition between one picture and the next is slightly choppy, with opengl a bit more. I didn't try beta 1, but it wasn't an issue with digikam 0.7.0.

can't reproduce here. does this happen all the time? is your system loaded when this happens? whats your system config like (RAM, CPU)

Hm, closing. Seems to be more an X(org)/nvidia issue. I'm using an old RivaTNT and it looks like the SWCursor and/or disabled PageFlip option doesn't seem to work. Since I don't use OpenGL applications, I did not notice before.
