Description Joe Crollard 2005-01-02 01:12:56 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: Unspecified Linux

On some soundcards, when you click the kmix icon on your system tray...it brings up the master volume control like normally, but that channel does nothing. I think you should be able to set which channel pops up when you click on the icon. For instance, on mine...the master volume does nothing and is useless...so I have to right click and goto "show mixer window" each time to turn up or down my volume. "Analog Front" is what controls the volume for me, so if I could set it in the options or something so that when I click the kmix icon in my system tray, it would bring up the "analog front" channel instead of master. I think this would be a useful feature.

It is planned to make this configurable.

It is already, via the panel icon context menu.

But there is one problem: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111152 (last comment )
