Description flstcboy 2004-12-30 22:29:19 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Kweather (in Kontact) shows always the night-weather-icon for Tokyo or Sapporo (Japan).
in addition: sunrise at 6:00 and sunset at 8:34 ???(should be p.m. right?) is surley wrong! well, might depend on weather data from weather-station. But anyway, even between 6:00 and 8:34 the icon is showing "night in Nippon". "This screems for a fix" ;)
thx

I'm not seeing this with CVS HEAD for Sapporo Ab.

Also, which of the Tokyo stations are you looking at?

Note that the time that you see for sunset and sunrise is not local time for the station location, it is local time for your location. So (for Sapporo Ab) I see Sunrise at 09:06 am and Sunset at 18:08 pm. I'm an hour ahead of Japan at the moment, because of daylight saving compensation.

hi,
i added the "New Tokyo Inter-national Airport" station.
well, it is not so important, so i can wait until next kde release and try
that again. i installed diffrent kweather-icon theme from kde-look.org, but i
can't imagine that this might be the reason, because a local weather station
from Germany shows corrent sun/moon icon.

hi,
now, i added some more weather-stations from Japan and the local time (in
Japan) is 9:51 a.m. , that means the sun is already up and shining, but the
icons still showing moon, that must be a bug, but maybe already fixed in cvs,
i don't know.
