Description vermyndax 2004-12-29 18:59:43 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

I didn't entirely know how else to report this, but I discovered this... it's a support issue.

Microsoft has broken korganizer's implementation of the Exchange resource and the plugin. I could not, for the life of me, get it to work for the longest time. Everytime I tried to get korganizer to see the Exchange calendar, I would get an error that the file or folder didn't exist (this dialog pops up three times).

Finally, I discovered this KB article at Microsoft:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;839422

Essentially this means that if this is happening to you (and I have not identified the circumstances, but I suspect it's in front-end/back-end Exchange configurations), you have to open a web browser to Outlook Web Access on the computer you're using korganizer and log in successfully. Then, while keeping the browser window open, you can refresh korganizer or do whatever work that needs to be done in the Exchange resource. As soon as you close the browser window and/or log out of Outlook Web Access, korganizer can no longer access the calendar.

As I said, I suspect this happens on front-end/back-end Exchange scenarios.

Dreadful bug with not much hope of a fix from Microsoft.

Found the same issue here. Would love to have it working. :)
