Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux when you click a link like <a HREF="mailto:testATtest.com">Test</a>, a composer with an empty To: field is opened. While an email address that contains only one string matching /at/i should be relatively easy to parse, the least thing for kmail to do is to just c&p the address into the address line instead of making me hover the mouse over the link and typing the address myself.
In light of the impeding KDE4 release, I am going through all bug reports I am involved in. To the best of my knowledge, this issue is still open. While in the meantime you at least get the malformed address in your To: bar, still no parsing of any kind is being done. Admittedly, this is a _huge_ improvement :)

Admittedly, this is a _huge_ improvement :) Parsing and correcting malformed mail addresses is already reported at bug 50152. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 50152 ***
