Version: 0.16 (using KDE 3.3.2, Gentoo) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 20040623 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.4-r1, ssp-3.3.2-2, pie-8.7.6) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.9-gentoo-r6 I configured the addressbook association for some nicks. Their full names appeared next to the nickname in the nickname list, but after a logout and restart of konversation, the assosiations seems to be lost. The full names are gone, and also KAdressbook does not show online/offline information anymore for them.
John please have a look at this.
It seems the associations are lost as soon as I quit Kontact, even if I leave Konversation running.
I can't seem to be able to reproduce here. I created a new association. Closed kontact. New association is still shown in konversation.
I use Konversation cvs as of yesterday with Kontact 3.3.2. My addressbook is also writable. Strange.
It seems Konversation has trouble saving things, because it also asks every time a confirmation when I close the main window, even if I check the "Do not ask again" box...
Is your ~/.kde/share/config/konversationrc writable by you? If yes please attach it here.
Created attachment 8781 [details] konversationrc
Can you please try renaming your konversation.rc to konversation.rc.bak and try with an empty config?
still same problem, unf. As soon as Kontact exits, the full names just disappear. They don't reappear on restart of Kontact, Addressbook or KMail.
In kaddressbook, can you create contacts, change them, quit kaddressbook, restart, and see the added and changed contacts?
I didn't get any response to my last question. Closing as WORKSFORME. Feel free to reopen.
