Version: 1.4.1 (using KDE 3.3.1, (3.1)) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-2) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.7-ck6 Try to select a transparent background in Konsole, and open two tabs. All is OK, you can view the two tabs with transparent background. But if you close one of them, you'll view the other tab with strange colors, and it's impossible to write because you can't see the cursor. This bug occurs since more than 6 months, with all the versions of Kopete I have tried. With no transparent background this bug doesn't occur.
I'm not able to reproduce your results with the current CVS version of Konsole, and have never experienced this. Can you reproduce on another computer with similar konfiguration?

For the moment I try to specify more my bug: - Open a konsole. - Set the Konsole theme: "Transparent with dark background". - Open new tab in the same Konsole. - Close the new one. - The first tab appear with bad colors (the background and the cursor). I use Keramik theme and KDE 3.3.1. When I can try the bug in other computer I will write here my conclusion.
CVS/HEAD works fine for me. I followed your steps in comment #2.
I have tried with different users in my system and the bug only occurs to me, with my user. So it's very strange. I suppose the bug it's because my own configuration.
I have erased my konsole configuration (~/.kde/share/config/konsolerc) and set the same configuration again, and the bug has dissapeared, a mystery.
Did you by chance save you old konsolerc file? It would be interesting to see the difference between the bad and the good file. % diff -Naur konsolerc.bad konsolerc
Sorry, I didn't save the old file. That's a mistake of mine. If I see the same problem again I will write here my configuration. Thanks.
Reopen if the error occurs again.
