Description _ 2004-11-18 21:22:26 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: Slackware Packages

My Slackware 10.0 system has ClamAV 0.80 installed. When I try to run the Anti-Virus Wizard in KMail, it completes succesfully but no filters are generated. Nevertheless, the Anti-Spam Wizard works fine.

Running KMail via the console doesn't output any errors about this.

Can confirm this with head with clamav 0.8 (debian package -6). I get one <unknown> filter without any data in the filter.

Reproducable with clamav-0.75.1 from Gentoo and kdepim from KDE_3_3_BRANCH maybe half a week ago. No filter at all is generated.

I can also confirm this with Gentoo running KDE 3.3.1 and ClamAV 0.80.

I can confirm the same problem on KDE 3.3.2 installed from SuSE rpms on SuSE 9.1. The wizard correctly locates ClamAV 0.80 and completes without errors. No filters are created. The same problem was also present in KDE 3.3.1 on my system. As with other reports, the Antispam Wizard works.

I have tried going through the wizard and choosing all (sensible) combinations of settings, but no filters ever seem to be created.

Same problem here (Using KDE 3.3.2 and Gentoo). With KDE 3.3.0 I had no problems to create auto rules with the wizard, but neither with 3.3.1 nor 3.3.2 I can create those rules. The wizard complete successfully (detect, selection etc.) but no rules. But spam rules are created right. It seems that something brokens between 3.3.0 and 3.3.1 in the Antivirus wizard
Comment 6 _ 2004-12-30 14:45:26 UTC
Can confirm this again with Gentoo running KDE 3.3.2 and ClamAV 0.80.
Comment 7 Tom Albers 2005-01-06 18:57:01 UTC
This is fixed in HEAD / KDE 3.4
