I have had occurances of tieboxes overlapping plots. here is a snapshot.

Judging from the code this appears to be deliberate (see GetTieBoxRegion()). Previously it probably wasn't a problem but a change was made to reclaim some of the top border if no plot title was given. This leads to a vertical overlap where none could exist before. We can: 1) leave as is 2) revert code so that top border space is enlarged without title

I can't think of anything other than #2 though. Barth?
I prefer to leave it as it is. The tie boxes don't show up in a print. cbn
