Version: 2.1.1 (using KDE KDE 3.3.1) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux When Juk finishes playing the last track in a playlist, it suddenly requires a lot of memory without crashing (1.6GB on my computer). It happens with different playlists I have. These playlists have *.ogg files.
I'm seeing exactly the same problem, except that mine crashes when the memory eventually runs out. I'm also using version 2.1.1 on KDE 3.3.1; however, mine is installed from Gentoo packages (compiled on this machine). The problem also occurs when playing mp3s, and occurs regardless of how many files are in Juk's "Collection List". Stopping playback manually doesn't cause any problems. Other KDE multimedia apps work fine. I'm happy to provide more details if needed. Should this bug not be filed under "juk" rather than "general"?
My set up is the same as Comment #1 - Gentoo, KDE 3.3.1, JuK 2.1.1. After the last MP3 file in a playlist, JuK eats up memory until I "kill -9" it. One additional data point. When I call JuK with the --nofork option, I get a segmentation fault instead of memory eating problem. Running it inside gdb, I find that it bombs out on the following line: #0 0x080ae77d in QHBox::metaObject() const ()
this would be a JuK bug, so let's file it there.
...and this would be the 18th time this has been reported. Let's mark it as a duplicate. ;-) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 91467 ***
