Description Andreas Klöckner 2004-11-04 18:56:38 UTC
Version: 1.7 (using KDE 3.3.0, (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 (Debian 1:3.3.4-12)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8.1

1. Press and release Alt. (Menu becomes active)
2. Hit the right arrow key.

What happens:
The next message gets selected.

What should happen:
The menu highlight should move to the right.

This behavior is due to the focus-less design of KMail. Pressing the down key will open the menu and then left/right will navigate through the menus, but that is just a workaround. Maybe we can check if a menu is active and not do normal keyboard navigation in that case.

The Alt-key does not set focus to the menu all over kde in KDE4.1+ from trunk (r860647). So this should either be closed as WONTFIX or reassigned as wish to kdelibs.
