Description Joseph Reagle 2004-10-21 19:42:14 UTC
Version: 3.3.0 (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

Please see:
  http://www.meyerweb.com/eric/tools/s5/s5-intro.html

I've seen it work in IE6+, Mozilla, and Safari, but not Konq.

if you change the UA forth and back, it works. Somehow a relayouting is missing, that's all.
Comment 2 Joseph Reagle 2004-10-23 17:30:27 UTC
Changing the UA, you mean hitting the "Ø" hypertext? That doesn't do it for me? (I get a "
Error: node : TypeError: Null value" JS error.) I'm using 3.3.0, but hope to try it in 3.3.1 when it gets into Debian unstable.
Comment 3 Yan Morin 2004-10-30 18:41:25 UTC
"Error: node : TypeError: Null value" JS error
was fixed by returning an empty string for default element attribute and not null like 3.3.0.
There still has a relayout problem.

Bug 116651 was confirmed, so confirming this one now.

I'm using Konqueror 3.4.2 and I have the same problem (and a report from someone using KDE 3.5 also shows that the bug is still there: http://meyerweb.com/eric/thoughts/2006/01/09/s5-12a1/).

When you load the S5 file, rendering does not work. You can then press 'Back', and 'Forward', and now the rendering will work (but not the navigation keys, only by clicking >> with the mouse).

Something in the javascript is wrong, and it's a pity that this elegant program does not work with konqueror

You can get it to work by faking as safari. basically, the js there detects us as mozilla, and applies a workaround for bug in mozilla's CSS code. That workaround triggers a bug in our CSS code. I have this on my todo, but it's sort of invasive....
Comment 10 Joseph Reagle 2007-01-26 16:46:40 UTC
Seems to work well in 3.5.6 now.
