Description James Stormes 2004-10-13 19:13:52 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.3)
Installed from: Slackware Packages
Compiler: Gcc 3.3.3
OS: Linux

Trying to add a new printer using the KDE Printing Manager I get the error message "Unable to load the requested driver:" when selecting any print driver. The print driver then defaults to RAW.

I also sometimes get a blank list of available print drivers.

From print manager I select Add Printer/Class.

Network Printer (TCP/IP)

Enter printer address 10.128.128.31 in this case port 9100.

Select any print driver (I have tried several).

Error Message "Unable to load the requested driver:"

Cointune with setup and I get a printer using the "RAW" driver. I try and change the driver and I get the same error or a blank list of drivers.

Thanks for your time.
