Version: 4.3 (using KDE 3.3.0, Arch Linux) Compiler: gcc version 3.4.2 OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8.1 I often want to print long reports double sided. To do this, I print the even pages reversed order, then I print the odd pages normal order on the backs of these pages. KWrite ignored my "Even pages only" and "Reversed" options on the print dialog, and ended up printing the whole document in normal order.
Michael, I reassign to kdeprint, as If I understand things correctly, this should be handeled by kdeprint? Throw it back at me if I'm wrong.
Is this problem kwrite-specific, or does it happen with other apps? With kwrite, on the print dialog, is the "Current page" selection button enabled? How did you install your printer? (backend, driver...) Michael.
UNCONFIRMED (batch reassigning messed this)
Still waiting for the answer to comment #2.
Sorry; I somehow didn't receive e-mails for comments 1, 2 and 3 (I did for comment 4 though?!?). Unfortunately I can no longer test as my manager switched us to Mac OS X :-(. However, I'll try to answer the questions the best I can from memory. As I am a programmer, I don't have the need to use very many "productivity" applications, but every once in a while I need to print out documentation, hence the use of KWrite. So, I do not know if the problem was kwrite specific or not. I was printing a multipage report, so I'm sure I didn't choose "current page" as I printed the whole document. As to the question of how I installed my printer, I'm not sure what you mean by that question. I used the GUI to create the printer.
It was more about whether the "Current page" option was enabled, not whether you selected it. For Cristian, this was to know whether kwrite was doing the page selection itself, to locate more precisely the problem.
Feedback timeout and WORKSFORME. Closing this bug now. Also, reporter currently doesn't see the problem any more (no longer uses Linux). Using Kate, this works well from all I know.
Closing old Resolved status bug.
