Description Swistak 2004-10-03 23:01:10 UTC
Version: 0.11.17 (using KDE KDE 3.2.3)
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs

Hello!
I'm using k3b 0.11.17 compiled from source, but there's the same problem on k3b 0.11.14 from Mandrake 10.1 Comunity RPM.

When I set speed to auto, k3b corectly set speed to 12x (I'm using 12x cd-rw).
Debugging output: http://swistakers.webpark.pl/debugging-output-12x.txt

When I set speed to 8x, k3b says that it's not supported and burns in 4x speed.
Debugging output: http://swistakers.webpark.pl/debugging-output-8x.txt

It's strange, isn't it?
I have LG CD-RW 48x 24x 48x (GCE-8481B)
Anything I forgot to mention ?

Greetings!
Swistak

this is not a bug. The media or the writer does not support 8x writing and cdrecord does the speed change, not k3b.
