Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0) Installed from: Compiled From Sources Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 20040623 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.4-r1, ssp-3.3.2-2, pie-8.7.6) OS: Linux Focus changes originating from within a rendered page require a delay on the order of 3-6s before being processed (on my PIII-1000). This did not occur in KDE 3.2.x. The term ``focus changes'' means the changing of the destination for keyboard input. It includes selecting a different text entry field (e.g., in the KDE bugzilla) as well as clicking the Konqueror Location entry field when the web page had focus. Note that the last case occurs even if no text entry field is involved. Just clicking in the page, and then back to the Location field causes the delay. During the delay, Konqueror is unresponsive. Note also that the delay explicitly does _not_ occur when changing focus from the Location bar to somewhere in the web page. This bug is possibly related to bug 89483 (long delay in context menu opening within a web page)
Is this still an issue for you? I cannot reproduce this with kde 3.5.4.
Works for me with 3.5.5
