Description wjhns25 2004-09-30 15:06:49 UTC
Version: 0.9.0 (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
OS: Linux

It would be nice if after joining a group I'd be asked if I want to always connect to this group. I have 2 jabber rooms and one irc group that I pretty much always want to join. By-hand joining them every time I start kopete is a pain. Especially jabber since I have 3 dialogs to fill out every time.

You can already do this in IRC.

Under account, add /join #foobar to your on connect commands list.

It's in the third tab under account config.

(This is why I thought on connect commands should be a kopete-wide thing, but oh well)

err... thanks. I actually thought I had added that at one point but it seems to have disappeared from my config. Guess it never got saved properly (probably crashed) and thus never saw it work.

Still need similar support for the other chat protos though...

Why did you change to IRC? IRC already has this ability, the wish is for other protocols to have the ability and to have it generic.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
