Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources Compiler: gcc 3.3.1 -march=pentium2 OS: Linux In the File/Load dialog (or the corresponding dialog in File/New), the new OASIS documents (.oot, .oos...) are not shown. (Nevertheless the loading works if the filename is known and entered by hand, at least for KWord and KSpread.) Have a nice day!
Works for me in kword, using Ctrl+O. There's an "Oasis Open Office Text" entry in the filter combo, which filters for *.oot. I don't understand what you mean about File/New - that's about choosing a template, nothing to do with the file format. However, I can see that the Oasis mimetype is missing from the initial template dialog indeed. That's the next one on my TODO. David.

Sorry, I meant the startup dialog. (I do not know why I have assumed that it was the same.) > > However, I can see that the Oasis mimetype is missing from the initial > template dialog indeed. You mean "All Supported Files"? It shows *.oot files for me, along with the rest.
It does not for me. So I suppose it is the first side effect that OpenOffice 1.9.54 is declaring x-vnd.oasis while KOffice uses vnd.oasis. Have a nice day!
My comment #4 is probably wrong. (In Konqueror, it is the KOffice icon (typewriter) that is used, not the OO one and when I filter *.oot in the file dialog, it is the same icon too. So it is probably not this kind of mismatch.) However I do not have any "OASIS" file format in the combobox. Have a nice day!
It seems not as simple as I thought. In File/Load, it is there, in the start dialog it is not. Have a nice day!

I'm working on KoTemplateChooseDia, give me time. But the File/Load dialog should work already - including both "OASIS Open Office Text" and "All Supported Files".
To comment #7, the problems were only in the start-up dialog, not in File/Load (however I failed to see the difference. Sorry!)
CVS commit by faure: Less is more - use the new KoTemplateChooseDia ctor, which can figure out the native mimetype stuff by itself. This makes the OASIS mimetypes appear in the template chooser dialog. This bug still happens to me. I'm running KDE 3.2.3 on Debian Sarge, KOffice compiled from CVS. .oot -files are not shown in File->Open or in Open Document-dialog when starting KWord.
Most probably a mimetype installation problem. What does configure say when "checking for KDE version..." ? Do you have a $KDEDIR/share/mimelnk/application/vnd.oasis.openoffice.text.desktop ?
the OASIS OpenDocument filter doesn't exist and "all supported format" doesn't show OASIS OpenDocument in KOffice workspace. It's ok in kword, kspread, .. but not in koffice workspace (koshell) distribution : Debian GNU/Linux unstable. koffice version 1.4.2 kde version 3.4.2
It's fixed in KOffice Workspace for 1.5 now.
