Description Christopher Colohan 2004-09-27 17:29:08 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
Compiler: RPMs built by the KDE-RedHat project -- don't know what compiler they use
OS: Linux

I had four sessions open in a konsole window, with ssh connections to various machines. I opened a fifth session with ctrl-shift-n, and typed a few commands into that new session. I then ended that session, and as I flipped through the tabs I noticed that my input was also sent to two of the four remaining sessions.

Egads!! I was very lucky that the commands I was typing in the fifth session were not harmful.

I had not enabled the "send input to all sessions" feature (on purpose or accidentally). If I had, the input would have gone to _all_ sessions, and not just to two of the four.

Sadly I can't say how to reproduce this bug, as it just happened randomly. But hopefully this is enough information such that a quick code inspection would reveal how this occurance was possible...
