Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Using Drag&Drop at the virtual folders does not work as expected. Sometimes it moves the item, sometimes it copies... I would like it to always move. This is too bad since I have a relative large UC diagram and wanted to group some of them and some actors in folders, but I had to do it with the xmi "by hand".
Can you give an example of when it copies an item?

The procedure is always the same: drag the item to be moved, go up to the folder and drop item there. My folders are at the top. I noticed (but it may be false) that when I wait for the list to scroll and forget to stop it when the folder is visible, that is, I was holding the item at the top, so the listview scrolls up and I miss to take it of the top, so the list stops scrolling, the folder is now at bottom, I need to do the reverse process and wait for the list to scroll down so the folder is visible again, the problem is more easy to happens... Maybe I wasn't clear enough, let me know (I'm not native english person). Thanks, Gustavo _______________________________________________________ Yahoo! Acesso Gr
I've had lockups with dragging folders around the virtual folders. One repeatable example is that version 1.3 allows you to drop a folder inside one of its child folders. To see, create two folders, A and B. Drag B inside A, then drag A inside B, doing this will cause a lockup, most likely because it doesn't check to make sure folder B is not a child of folder A. This does not occur if you try and move the "Logical View" folder into one of its children. On another note, I've had a few lockups, version 1.3 again, when just draggind different diagrams/objects/etc around. These lockups caused my xmi file to because corrupt, I assume this because if I quit whilst one of these files is loaded I get a segfault. I don't, however get a bug if I quit on other files, ones which haven't gone through a crash/lockup. I can send you a file that causes the segfault if you want.
I had another issue related to drag/drop folders. I had several Interfaces defined, and started dragging them into a folder. The folder was a child of another folder. After a crash during dragging, the items disappeared. Found them in XMI where parent ids were assigned to the wrong objects. Inconsistent problem. Happened more than once, but not easily reproducible.
The lock ups when dragging a folder to another folder is definatly a problem. I can't reproduce the other issues...although that doesn't mean they're not there.
