Version: 3.3 (using KDE 3.3.0, SuSE) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.4-52-default Using other Operating Systems and Desktop Environments on a regular basis the rubber band that let's a user select multiple files in Konqueror with the mouse is a bit behind 'the others'. Please add a transparent colour (the marked file highlight colour would be fine)to the rubber band so that it forms a clearly visible box. This should improve new users understanding of file selection as well, as the idea that everything "behind the box" will be selected will be clearer if there actually is a more visible box -> overall improvement of usability and a good-thing (tm) in general :)
There are some patches to do exactly that here: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=236593 It would be great if this could be applied into KDE. Cheers, Andre

I'm not sure if it has already been comitted via CVS but as indicated above Andre Moreira Magalhaes implemented a better visible rubber-band. I'll cc' him this meassage and the bug number, but maybe the maintainer can have a look at this. The patch(es) by Andre are available here: http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=16962
that sure is nice looking!
What is the status on this? Is it planed for KDE 4.0. It is not in 3.5.3.
add some spacing to the rounded selection boxes ;)

All bugs and wishes which could be interesting for Dolphin in KDE 4 (the new KDE file manager) has been collected into a specific list. Please try the new file manager before request new features and report bugs. Before submitting new reports check carefully the already opened Dolphin reports in order to don't add duplicates. Many thanks.
