Description Nicole Landau 2004-09-15 03:21:15 UTC
Version: 3.3.0 (using KDE 3.3.0, SuSE)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-166-default

I have closed all applications but the "Icons" are still in the taskbar. When I started mozilla I didn't get an icon for that though. I have a screenshot of it if anyone wants to see that.

Since upgrading to KDE 3.3 my whole system "hates" me. Nothing really works properly anymore. Kate refuses to open files after opening a few and I have to exit and restart Kate to get it to open other files again. Juk does not let me "hop" from song to song and crashes my system when I try. My CDrom doesn't mount and unmount as it should and I am now using my "opening device" (bent open paperclip) to open the cdrom most of the time. Kaffeine crashes when I exit it (but it did that when I was still using the previous KDE version so that's nothing new).

Any suggestions at all will be appreciated :-)

I've the same problem with the taskbar and the tray. New Stuff doses show up and old one doesn't go away. if I choose in the taskbar config a new option for "Group similar tasks" I the taskbar gets refreshed and I see all correct.

But if I close a program again its still shown in the taskbar until I change again the taskbar config.

I'm using Suse9.1 with the kde3.3 packages. The kde3.2 shipped with suse91 didn't have that problem.

Sorry if I don't understand this, but how is this bug the same as the alt+F2 Bug? I'd really like an explanation because then I might be able to get my KDE working at least somewhat propperly again?

take care!

It's the same bug. I've installed the new qt packages and all is working now. It was really a qt bug.
