Description jaime 2004-09-01 00:10:18 UTC
Version: 1.6.2 (using KDE 3.3.0, (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 (Debian 1:3.3.4-9)
OS: Linux (ppc) release 2.6.5-rc3-ben0

When I am composing an email (new or replying) and I change the identity (at the time of composing) in the "From" tab, the signature is not changed as in previous versions of KMail.
The signature configured to the identity that started the email composition remains.
You can delete it (manually) and add the signature from the menu... but it is not nice ;-)
I hope it will help!
Thanks for KMail, great email software!

Hmm, does this still happen in KMail-1.7? (kdepim-3.3)

yes it does... at least with my setup. kmail 1.7 (kde.3.3.0, gentoo, gcc-3.4.x) the funny thing is that it'll *sometimes* work. ie. i can change the sig by changing the identity (or just re-selecting default) but it only seems to work once or twice then it stops working and i have to manually select "attach signature" from the menu.

In my system, this happens with identitys that use command output as signature. The problem may be there.

In my system, this happens with identitys that use command output as signature or also text files. But works nice with inline signatures.

The problem seems to be resolved in kmail version 1.7.2 (using KDE 3.3.2 level "a" for SuSE linux).
