Version: 1.1-beta1 (using KDE 3.2 BRANCH >= 20040204, Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 (Mandrake Linux 10.0 3.3.2-6mdk) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.25-2mdk Today the covers are used to describe the albums and are stored externally in files (.png). Though some files has covers stored inside their id3tags. With your amazing "fecth missing covers", which is very reliable, It would be very useful to be able able to store the covers inside the mp3s with the id3tags *-) Maybe this feature could be chosen from the "cover manager" as an option in the rightclick menu. By chosing an album we have the choice to store the cover inside each track! Well thats all folks :p You really make an amazing job! ^^ So thank you!!
well, of course this would be a nice feature in general, therefore i'm leaving this wish-report open. but mind you: we're not allowed to store amazon-downloaded covers somewhere else, since we're forced to delete and refetch every cover after 90 days, due to amazon copyright issues. thanks, muesli
Ooooh well I didn't knew that! Yes I understand better. Whatever Im sure that, as you sayed, it is "a nice feature in general", so lets see ! :) Thanks!
Duh! I was about to report a wish to save covers to music directories. I mean, i organize my collection as Artist/Album/, so store cover into it. Anyway, I'll use ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/albumcovers/large/ :) Thank you for this great piece of software! It's really amazing! PS: Seems that in 1.1 the cover manager doesn't show new folders after the "Fetch missing covers".
Not possible for legal reasons.
Has anything changed that would allow the Cover Manager to embed cover images in the mp3 tags? Many other applications support this feature, and in fact it's required to get portable devices like iPods to show the cover art. Thanks!
Arthur: iPods do not need embedded artwork to display covers
