Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux In my experience pages are in general rendered faster in kde3.3 than in kde3.2.3 but certain ones like http://www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl and http://www.standaard.be are rendered up to 10 times slower compared to kde3.2.3 On www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl the problem is very clear. It takes a lot of time until the central text shows up. It feels like khtml is waiting for other parts of the site to be downloaded before it shows the major text-part. Firefox has a normal rendering speed so it's not because of my connection. Someone seems to confirm that this problem is not related to the debian packaging. (see http://dot.kde.org/1092936898/1093111432/1093273063/)
Created attachment 7251 [details] testcase showing the problem The problem is that loading the flash content from ad.nl.doubleclick.net takes a long time.
It also happens with pictures, not only with flash.

I think it's trange that by changing to kde 3.3 suddenly the behaviour appeared while in bug 70363 it's all about earlier versions, and I never noticed (allthough I updated with every 3.x.x release). I also noticed the change of behaviour on three sites at the same time which would be quite a coincidence (servers changing or so..) The sites are www.standaard.be www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl and www.ta.nl I can not test the workaround for bug 70363 though because i'm on another computer and within a week I depart for at least 3 months to latin-America. One other thing I can tell is that i'm using a 'block-list' of hosts in /etc/hosts Maybe that is useful info.. Still I think it's strange that a website loads so slow just because of one link. The text can appear before this one image arrives no? But i'm not an expert. wanted to mention that kde is great, good work guys! bye filip
