Description Rob Sell 2004-08-20 16:28:07 UTC
Version: 3.3.0 (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: Rpm's from kde mirror for SuSE 9.1
OS: Linux

I saw this reported back in bug 84071 for the 3.3 alpha, I just downloaded the 3.3.0 stable and am still having the same problem described here. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84071

Description from 84071:
"Whenever I start a session, no windows show up in either the taskbar applet or the pager applet. The only way I can get things to show is to reload the applets by causing a kicker re-start.. usually by changing one of the task bar preferences.

Whenever I do that, the currently open windows get shown in the task bar. However, as I open new windows, they do not get added.

Whatever is supposed to notify the taskbar and pager of new windows doesn't seem to be working.. I'm not sure if this is really a taskbar/pager problem or maybe something to do with the window manager.."

My description:
To get new windows to show up i have to configure the panel and just make a small change and hit apply, then all of my windows will be listed. Something not mentioned in 84071 is that when windows are closed they don't leave the taskbar either.
