Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources Compiler: gcc 3.4.1 When saving a chat log from a chat window I realized that the Text is being saved in XML (with all the tag's) rather than normal ASCII Text mode. I realized after a while that you can select a filter in the save dialog but then it was too late because I saved some stuff the default way. I would like to suggest saving a chat log as ASCII Text which would make it fool proof.
I think this is a dupe and has been closed as WONTFIX before... exports are more flexible.
Well the exports do make sense (if you refer to the save dialog where you can select in what format you want to save it) but it would be nice to have it default to ASCII text. I for my own wasn't aware of the 'exports' feature so I trapped in having saved my chat logs as XML. Maybe the 'exports' part can be improved ?
