Version: 2.3 (using KDE 3.3.0, compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 (Debian 1:3.3.4-3) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.7 In the last revision (KDE 3.3.0rc2) Kate underwent 2 strange behavioural changes: katefilelist now respects KDE's mouse single/double click setting for file opening which I think is inappropriate for this list. Second, katefileselector selectmode is now Multi which should IMHO be Extended instead... I like and have allways liked the choice of multiple file selection on the press of my shift or ctrl key... I can very easily change this in the code to accomodate for my needs. A configuration option however, or if nothing else a change of plans regarding this would be nice though...

fixed but cullmann and dominik in cvs HEAD as well as in BRANCH
KDE 3.4.2 Kate's fileselector view is still Multi instead of Extended. I seriously don't see the advantage in choosing Multi over Extended for this filelist? Sure, I can go through the routine every release and patch the file myself (hurray for OSS!) but I would still call this a regression and prefer to have this changed in the release if possible.
Is this wish still valid in KDE 4?
It's fixed in KDE 4, thx!
