Description Fred Wells 2004-07-20 02:26:57 UTC
Version: 1.6.82 (using KDE 3.2.91 (3.3 beta1), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (Mandrake Linux 9.2 3.3.1-2mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.22-10mdk

Not sure if this is a bug or just a missing feature. IMO it's a serious bug.

When sending mail from another application (konqueror, digikam, etc.), kmail provides no progress indication. This is extremely problematic when sending mail with larger attachments. Without a progress indicator, the user may unwittingly and prematurely disconnect/logout causing the operation to be aborted.

As the reporter, I'm closing this bug due to it's age and the clear observation that the kmail developers have no interest in addressing or, for that matter, even acknowledging this bug.

BTW - It's still a problem in KMail 1.10.3 (KDE4.1.3).
