Hi Johann-Nikolaus, Thanks for the bug report. Here (current CVS HEAD version of korganizer) I can open the file just fine, and the special characters appear correctly. Is it still broken for you? Cheers, Reinhold
In the 3.3 Relese Version is it still broken. I test the CVS version in the next days.
Reassigning all KOrganizer bug reports and wishes to the newly created korganizer-devel mailing list.
Hi, works fine with current KDE 3.5.6 Ciao, Tobias
Grr, in the kdepim 3.5.5+ branch it seems that this is still not fixed. The event loads fine, but the description does not correctly show the special characters. To me it looks like we have a double latin1-to-utf8 conversion (every special char appears as two rectangles...) Reopening that report again :-((( Cheers, Reinhold
I've reproduced on my system too using current KDE4 trunk.
I have similar problems with using korganizer with ergoupware and groupdav for dates. The Umlauts and linebreaks in the DESCRIPTION field are broken.
Created attachment 33670 [details] Description showing correctly Here's how it looks like in trunk (4.3), anyone want to retest?, Finex? Thanks.
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of korganizer (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
