Description fuqnbastard 2004-07-14 15:50:12 UTC
Version: 0.5.6 (using KDE 3.2.2, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 20040412 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.3-r6, ssp-3.3.2-2, pie-8.7.6)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.5-gentoo

I use kdict often using "Alt-F2 kdict word". It'd be great, if kdict - like konqueror - provided the option to keep an instance of the program in memory for faster startup.

Good Thought, but I guess it is related more to based kde and kdelibs. Yes, I agree that preloading important applications are necessary, and let the user choose the preloading applications for quick access. Example:

1. Konqueror
2. Kate
3. Konsole
4. KGet
5. KDict
6. Kaffeine
7. Kicker

I want my frequently used application to be quickly accessible. I don't want to wait 10-15 secs to see their face ;).
