Version: 3.2.0 (using KDE 3.2 BRANCH >= 20040204, Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 (Mandrake Linux 10.0 3.3.2-6mdk) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.3-7mdk According to the Konqueror documentation: Chapter 8. Saving Settings & Profiles Pamela Roberts Revision 3.2 (2003-11-06) General Settings When you close down Konqueror your current View menu settings (such as the View Mode, Use index.html and Show Hidden Files items) are automatically saved as the default options to be used next time Konqueror is started. --------- However, as bug #50355 states, the above does not happen. 0) open konqueror 1) change view settings to anything other than default 2) quit konqueror via Location->Quit or X 3) open konqueror 4) NOTE: view settings have NOT been saved Bug #50355 states you must do additional steps, however these steps aren't mentioned in this help documentation. I think konqueror should behave as described, as it's much more user friendly. Regardless, either Konqueror's behavior should change or the documentation needs to be updated.
