Version: 1.3.1 (using KDE KDE 3.2.1) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux I do not want to use tabs. So I want to hide my tabbar in konsole, by clicking the empty area of the tabbar and choosing Tab Bar -> Hide (not sure if that's the exact words, I use a german konsole) However, when I start konsole again, the tabbar is back. I do not want it back. please remember the setting to hide it.
Call "Settings/Save as Default" after turning it off.
ah, intuitive ui. lovely. thanks, that worked.
I had the same problem with the tab bar's position: it always starts at top and I wanted it on the bottom. only after looking through the bug database and finding this issue did I managed to resolve it. I think that possibly something needs to be done about this problem as I do not believe that the way for all users is to go through the bug database everytime an application does not behave how a user thinks it should. I would suggest to either put a prominent notice somewhere near the top of the help page or even the about dialog, or - better yet - make "save as defaults" activated automatically whenever some change is done to the interface (sort of like GNOME's "instant apply" configuration dialogs)
The default tab bar is on top. I'm not sure how more visible the 'Save Default' can be... it is in the Settings menu. You can open a new wish for the 'instant apply'
