Description william maddler 2004-06-17 15:14:31 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.3)
Installed from: Slackware Packages
OS: Linux

when switching from a folder to another horizontal scrollbar is shown even if not needed, if fancy header is enabled the fancy header box is wider than what's needed resulting. Switching to another message (in the same folder) restore correct visualization.

I have exactly the same behavior with KDE 3.2.3 compiled from source.
Here's significant versions :
QT : 3.3.1
GCC : 3.2.3

The problem disappeared after changing KDE Style (using "THinKeramik" from http://prefsx1.hp.infoseek.co.jp/tk040429/index.html).

Dunno if it depends on the style applied or simply the problem was fixed by the style change.

I was using plastik. I switch to keramik - the bug was still there. I switch back to plastik ; this change nothing.

forget... the problem is here again... simply after restarting Kmail.

It's a khtml bug which Dirk said he'd try to fix. Guys, should we try to work around this?

I remember you said that it's hard to fix in khtml. So we have to work around
it - something like remembering the last width?

Comment 7 william maddler 2004-06-30 23:16:17 UTC
manually setting width would be good too...
better tha a messed up window anyway... ;)

I agree we should try to work around it. This is only using
kdelibs/khtml HEAD I assume? (I can't reproduce it but have only been
updating kdepim for some time)

Don.
