Description seeksthemoon 2004-06-16 11:17:35 UTC
Version: 1.3.2 (using KDE 3.2.3, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 20040412 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.3-r6, ssp-3.3.2-2, pie-8.7.6)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.7-rc3

Since KDE 3.2.3 there is an error with the transparency-schemas for konsole:
konsole shows the application or desktop beyond it as its background and permanently adds everything that will be moved over the konsole-window: applications, menus etc.
It is impossible to read something and the background does not change when I move the konsole-window over the screen.
This seems to exist only when the Tab Bar is hidden.

I made a screenshot:

The error disappears when:
- I start konsole, change the scheme to another (not transparent) scheme and then again use one of the transparent schemes; transparency now works as in KDE 3.2.2
- Another (not transparent) scheme is saved as default, I start konsole and then change to a transparency-scheme
- I activate the Tab Bar

For what it's worth, this still happens in 3.3.1; I just hit it again yesterday when reconfiguring my konsoles after the update.

This is fixed in KDE 3.4. The tabbar hidden code change significantly.
