Version: 1.3.2 (using KDE KDE 3.2.2) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux I have a long list of logins and systems in the session menu, due to the long list the menu falls of the screen. It would be nice if session menu entries can be ordered in a hierarchical way (just like bookmarks or kde menu entries).

there is a need to be able to have nested sessions for similar sessions instead of a list of 45 sessions that is taller then the screen, it will be easier to move in groups for the session desired
I would prefer not to create entirely new code to handle this. I thought perhaps using the bookmark-code; although I haven't looked at it closely yet.
Partially solved in KDE 4 - you can select which profiles from the complete list are shown in the menu. This will solve the problem for cases where you have a large number of sessions but typically only work with a small subset at any given time.

No one has coded this so far.

Kurt Hindenburg - I'm not sure what information you think is needed, though the summary is a bit confusing to me - all the way up here at 2024 (I don't remember how the sessions/profiles UI was like 20 years ago, maybe it made more sense then) - so I edited the summary to make it more clear what this wish list item is all about.
