Description Thomas Lanquetin 2004-06-01 23:36:49 UTC
Version: 2.0.1 (using KDE KDE 3.2.2)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

Well, it's pretty much what I've said in the title. Some mp3/ogg that play well with xmms or other players are played distorted in Juk. Maybe the word distorted is not exactly well chosen as it certainly has a specific technical meaning which i'm not referring to here, but what I mean is that there is some noise, "behind" the song, it's kind of cracking.

If you reduce that to that some mp3's have a distorted a crackling bass, then that bug has been fixed in both KDE 3.3 and KDE 3.2.3. It shouldnt happen with oggs

I've to witnessed mp3 distortion and hiccups (Fedora Core 2, newly packaged kde-3.2.3), and it occurs *only* when arts' sound buffer is set to "as large as possible". With any other setting, it plays fine. Wierd, huh?

fixed in kde 3.2.3 and 3.3
