Description Michem Vande Vonder 2004-05-25 21:45:42 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Ok... With the new Suse 9.1 by default the web video player in Konqueror is now Kafeine. But this player doesn't work & crash when I try to see a short web video on the web site of Canalplus France (http://www.canalplus.fr). I am interrested by the "Guignol de l'info" (short web video with comment about news of the world). I always receive the same message "Error - no plugins".

I also had a problem with this media player with a VCD. The sound & video were very bad and after a few seconds the program crashed. After 8 tentative the video player finaly worked but it seems not to be very stable.

This has nothing to do with artsd or xine-artsplugin. Kaffeine uses xine directly. Look at the kaffeine website and docs to find out where to report bugs to, unfortunately kaffeine is not listed on bugs.kde.org.
