Version: 3.2.2 (using KDE 3.2.2, (testing/unstable)) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (Debian 20040401) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.6-1-686 I use convert to create either animated gif or mng files from sequences of png images. I found that the best way to view them under KDE is to type "konqueror filename" in a shell. When I view the gif animations, konqueror uses about 10% of the CPU time and the animations look smooth. When I view the mng animations, konqueror uses 100% CPU time and the animations look jerky; I think that it even skips frames. The animated gifs and the mng files are 540 KB and 470 KB large and contain 80 frames of 640x400 pixels each.
