It would be really nice to be able to display/view all the months of the year at one time i.e. similar to the output of the unix command "cal 2004". This feature exists on my IPAQ calendar and I have found it quite useful.

I had the same wish.

As a private calender, I do not have the need to plan every day with many events, but I'd like to have an easy overview over the year:

* When are my written examinations
* When is the Linuxtag ;-)
* When are my next Dentist dates
* When are my holidays

etc.

Currently, I use a big calendar in my wall which contains a column for each month, and I find this really good.

Instead of the reporter of this story, I find the output of cal not as clearly arranged as a view with a single column for each month.

I like the yearly layout in Kalender.jpg posted above ... very cool!!! It would definitely provide what I'm looking for. However, it is certainly not as compact as the output "cal 2004" and would, I suspect, take a lot more coding/work to get something like that going.

I've seen a few "wishes" on here for a six month and/or a three month view, so I think this feature would be appreciated by many folks using this excellent tool.
