Description Kde 2004-05-16 14:11:54 UTC
Version: 2.0 (using KDE 3.2.2, SuSE)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.4-52-smp

I am using the 'U.S. English (us)' keyboard layout as default. When adding 'German (de)' as a second layout and enable layout switching, I cannot left-/middle-/right-click window decorations anymore. That way, the only way to navigate windows is by keyboard shortcuts.
I have window focus set to 'follow mouse' which still works. When pressing 'Ctrl' aka 'Strg' or 'Alt' on the keyboard while klicking on the window decoration, the window reacts as expected. The decoration is 'Plastik' from the default kdeartwork package. Logging out and back in did not fix this problem.

As soon as I remove the second keyboard layout and disable switching, behaviour returns to normal.

This is reproducible on my system.

Please check if this problem is a duplicate of bug #78467.

This does not look like the same bug, but it seems related.

My system was a fresh SuSE 9.1 Pro install and I only upgraded from KDE 3.2.1 to 3.2.2 using the SuSE RPMs. The XServer was left untouched (InfoCenter says it's Release '40 399 902').

I've just checked the 'Modifier key' setting under 'window behaviour', and switching that from 'meta' to 'alt' makes my problems go away.
If the bugfix from bug 78467 has not made it into KDE 3.2.2, then this report is probably a duplicate, otherwise it seems to be a new one.
