In kopete configuration, there is an arrow to up and down the position of the account, but in the state bar, the order is not the same one
Comment 1 Matt Rogers 2004-05-15 17:50:38 UTC
the status bar will be right when you restart, as far as I know.

No, when I restart, it doesn't work : see my screenshot.

Changing account order just change the priority to select a contact when clicking in a metacontact.

it's used in KopeteMetaContact::preferedContact()

who cares about the statusbar order ?
Comment 4 Malte S. Stretz 2004-08-02 02:40:58 UTC
This also affects the order of the small icons beneath the metacontact.

Who cares about the order of those icons? Everybody who has a bunch of accounts which he just uses once in a blue moon or wants to sort the icons logically, to switch the status and/or away message for a single account quickly.

The order of the icons in the status bar is (should be) also the most visible effect a changed order in the preferences dialog -- everything else is pretty confusing.
Comment 5 Marc Cramdal 2005-09-03 23:10:13 UTC
Yes, I was wondering sometimes why it was not in the order specified in the account dialog.
Comment 6 Will Stephenson 2007-11-14 14:42:16 UTC
Accounts have been subordinated to Identities. They should still be prioritizable though.
Comment 7 Roman Jarosz 2009-01-24 17:18:44 UTC
SVN commit 916110 by rjarosz:

Set account priority based on position in account config view.
Allow moving account between identities with drag&drop.

Comment 9 Stephan Sokolow 2009-02-04 20:28:26 UTC
To be honest, account priority isn't a big deal to me as long as messages get through, but being unable to order my statusbar account icons really bothers me.
