Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.1) Installed from: RedHat RPMs I like to use KStars to show me what I'm missing, and help identify what I can see, in the sky I can see out my office window. I open KStars, hit 'W' for a western view, adjust for my off-west viewing angle, and adjust the horizon. I would like to be able to save that view so I don't have to do it every time. For that matter it would be handy to save any views and re-use them.
Good idea, thanks!
You could store your view parameters in a KStars script (made with the ScriptBuilder tool), then you just have to run the script to load your view parameters. I am going to add the ability to assign scripts to the F-keys; once this is done I'd consider this wish filled. Let me know if you disagree.
