Version: 1.6.2 (using KDE 3.2.2, compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.3 2.96-113) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.22-bk36 When I receive an e-mail with a PDF-file attached, and I click on the attachment, kmail offers to "save as", "open with" and "cancel". If I click "open with" and enter "acroread" and select "remember file association", and click the attachement again, kmail now also offers "open with acroread". If I now choose another e-mail, go back to the old one and open the same attachment again, kmail has forgotten about "acroread". This forces me to type "acroread" most times when I open attachments, which is quite annoying. Thanks for an otherwise great program. --Stefan Kebekus.

Doesn't apply to new versions ok kmail/kde4. Files associations are managed from systemsettings and marking the "Do not ask again" Checkbox remains through sessions. (bugday 9 november 2008) opensourcecat.
Confirmed, it works in kde 4.2 beta 1.
