Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0) Installed from: RedHat RPMs OS: Linux Please change the exec parameter in konsole's su.desktop to be "su -" instead of just "su". Makes life much easier on the newbies who wonder why /sbin and /usr/sbin are not in their path when logged in as root.
Done for KDE 3.2.2 already.
Are you sure about this? I have kde 3.2.2 Fedora RPMs installed one from kde.org and one from RedHat ftp site for Fedora Core 2 Test3, and in both cases the exec paramter is still only just "su".
This bug has not yet been fixed. See: http://webcvs.kde.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/kdebase/konsole/other/su.desktop?rev=1.251.2.7&content-type=text/x-cvsweb-markup As you can see, the exec parameter is still just "su" in the latest CVS.
oops never mind, I see that it was fixed a couple days ago on the main branch.
