Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.1) Installed from: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux Well, that's it, supose I start downloading something, then I select another file to download and I'm choosing where to download the second file; if the first file finishes before I decided where to save the second file, kget will shutdown, loosing the dialog of "Save as...". This happens if I'm using the option "auto shutdown after completing downloads".
i confirm in kde 3.4.2 build from konstruct
I confirm for kde 3.5.4, kget version 0.8.5, ubuntu edgy testing. Still not resolved over 2 years after bug submission...
I confirm that, too. Kde 3.5.5 built from source, on Kubuntu Dapper, Arch Linux and on FreeBSD. This one really gets on my nerves...

This has been fixed in trunk (KDE 4.0).
Just wanted to put some more input. I think this issue might not be specific to kget, it should be a more generic issue. Let's take an example. In klaptopdaemon, I instruct it to hibernate at BAT => 5 mins and shutdown at BAT => 2 mins. Currently, if you have a USB disk attached to the laptop, hibernate is aborted because of the USB disk partitions. That's fine. So when it reaches 2 mins, it tries to shutdown. At this moment, if I have an editor open with unsaved changes, the shutdown is put on hold because an app is asking for user intervention. This eventually leads to battery drain and the machine is off. I think there should be a more general signal, which when sent from kde apps to kde, it should do some default behavior and "Just Shutdown". Please tell me if we want a new bugzilla for this ?
Hi Ritesh! I think this bug is about only the KGet-Shutdown, not of the whole system... So, pls make a new bugzilla... Cheers Lukas
