Description Philippe A 2004-04-18 03:33:09 UTC
Version: 2.2.1 (using KDE KDE 3.2.1)
OS: Linux

I select entire lines through line numbers quite a bit. When I have a terminal window docked in my kate view, I found that selecting lines though line numbers does not transfer focus. Key strokes still go in the term window.

To reproduce:
- Open a text file.
- Show term emulator. Dock it below your document view.
- Click in the term emulator. Anything you type will obviously go in this pane.
- Click on a line number and drag to select the entire line.
- Enter, ctrl+x won't have any effect.

In this case the click is quite explicit. I'd expect the focus to go to the document view.

Or is it considered a dup of 64816?

The same problem arises after clicking results in the 'Find in Files'.

A file is opened through clicking a search result.
Lines are selecting directly through dragging through line numbers.
Any keyboard commands afterwards are focused in the 'Find in Files' still.

This works as expected in KDE 4.
